360 Logistics New Zealand Championship TQ Midget

360 Logistics proudly sponsors Christchurch Three Quarter Midget car driver Ricky Brett!

Christchurch Branch Manager Steve McKenzie has worked with Melrose Kiwi Concept Chairs in Papanui for many years so when approached by Phil Melrose (who also runs Melrose Motorsports) to assist in sponsoring Ricky Brett in his TQ Midget, Steve was excited to help out.

Ricky began racing TQ class cars at age 23 and is now a recognised name on the national TQ scene. He is also a fabricator at Melrose Kiwi Concept Chairs who design and fabricate custom-made wheelchairs and accessories from factories in Christchurch, New Zealand and Fresno, California.

On the 28th December 2015 at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, Ricky led from the start of the New Zealand Championship TQ Midget race and went on to win the title ahead of Auckland driver Hayden Guptil (second place) and Christchurch driver Liam McCourbey (third place).

Ricky and his 360 Logistics sponsored TQ Midget will hold the "No 1" position for the rest of the summer racing in both the North Island and Christchurch.

The close wheel-to-wheel action of the TQ Midgets provides a stepping-stone to higher horsepower classes including Midgets and Sprint cars. Many top Midget drivers have progressed from the TQ ranks and the popularity of this class results in at least 30-50 cars racing every night at Western Springs Speedway.
